Overview

Support the health of acid-loving and tropical plants with the 5 lb bag of Southern Ag Iron Granules. This granular formula delivers ferrous iron where roots and new growth take up nutrients, helping to maintain vibrant color and strong foliage in soils that challenge iron uptake. It’s designed for ease of use in an irregular planting mix or lawn border, and it fits into a simple seasonal feeding routine without the need for mixing or spraying.

What it contains

  • No mixing / No spraying - use as a granular fertilizer
  • Correct iron deficiency in acid-loving & tropical plants
  • Acidifies soil, lowers pH, and helps balance high alkalinity

Who should use it

Use on lawns, shrubs, trees, and garden beds where iron deficiency or alkaline soil is a concern. The product is intended to address visible symptoms like yellowing new growth and to support ongoing iron availability in the root zone.

How to apply

Apply using a dry spread, then water in to activate the granules. Follow the rates below to target either standard feeding or soil pH adjustment.

  • Standard feeding: 0.25 lb per 100 sq ft (2 lb per 1,000 sq ft)
  • To reduce soil pH: 0.5–1 lb per 100 sq ft
  • Water in after spreading to help iron move into the root zone

Additional notes

The product contains 30% iron from ferrous sulfate and is suitable for use on lawns, shrubs, trees, and garden areas. For full guidance, you can download the product label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) from the brand’s resources. This helps you confirm application timing, safety considerations, and exact coverage for your space.
