Meet a ready-to-install solution designed to defend ornamental trees from a broad range of common pests. Acecap implants pack a high-concentration Acephate formulation in a dry-powder capsule that is double-encapsulated, helping minimize handling exposure. Sized at 3/8 inch, these implants are intended for healthy trees with a diameter of 3 inches or more.

Once inserted, the active layer of cambium heals over the insertion site, and under typical moisture conditions the active ingredient can move through the tree within roughly 3–4 days. A single treatment aims to provide season-long pest control in deciduous trees and up to two seasons in evergreen trees. This product is intended for ornamental trees and should not be used on edible fruit or nut trees or flowering crabapple trees.

Installation and use in practice

• Drill 3/8" diameter holes in the lower trunk, spacing them 4–6 inches apart
• Tap each Acecap implant into the drilled hole using a hammer or dowel
• Secure the cartridge head; the cambium will grow over the wound
• Under normal moisture, the active ingredient moves through the tree within 3–4 days
